Status line

On the first part of the status line there are buttons for turning on/off the visualisation of different elements in the graphics window. The arrow keys can be used for turning the buttons on/off by first pressing the End-key. The row of buttons will get the focus and the right and left arrow keys move the focus between the different buttons while the up and down keys turns the button on/off. Pushing any other key brings you back to normal map-mode.
Channel - displays which satellite channel is used to calculate albedo or cloud top temperature
Value - shows albedo or sky top temperature from the satellite picture at the point where the mouse pointer is.
Lat and lon - shows latitude and longitude at the point where the mouse pointer is.
Area(km2) - shows area of the window in the window: label or if you press the left mouse button and hold it down as you do when you zoom you will see the area inside the rubber band in the mark: label.
Distance (km) - shows vertical distance of the window in the vert: label and the horizontal distance of the window in the Horiz: label or if you press the left mouse button and hold it down as you do when you zoom you will see the vertical and horizontal distance of the rubber band.
NOTE: The window will bee zoomed when you release the left mouse button as when you zoom and neither Area och Distance are selected.
- re-reads the observation files which are shown, if they have changed since last time.
- By pushing this button, other programs are allowed to connect to Diana. The connection is done via an external (socket-based) server, which is started automatically.

- - Connecting allowed.

Archives

Selecting archive under Options in the Menu bar gives access to archived files.

Fields - in the field dialogue archived files are a separate field group.
Objects - in the object dialogue they appear as separate choices in the top list.
Observations - in the observation dialogue everything looks like normal, but archive data is read as normal observations.

Be aware that very large amounts of data are being read in archive-mode, so it will slow down Diana considerabely.

is shown to the right on the status line when Diana is in archive-mode.
It is advised to limit the amount of data read by limiting the time period.
This is done by setting the relevant year(s) (YYYY), month(s) (MM) and/or date(s) (DD) in Read setupfile before selecting archive data.
"?" matches any digit.
